Branding for a Hotel
For this collaborative class project, my team and I developed a conceptual hotel brand alongside an interior designer, Avery Powell, and a graphic designer, Lael Ebarb. Guided by the prompt “What if?”, we explored the idea: What if a hotel was a poppy?—inspired by the flower’s association with sleep and its presence in Greek culture.
This concept led to the name Hypnos, referencing the Greek god of sleep. The visual identity draws from Art Nouveau influences, incorporating poppy elements to create a cohesive and calming aesthetic.
We developed a full range of branded materials, including door signage, welcome cards, key cards, wall patterns, toiletry packaging, exterior signage, and a cocktail menu.
